First Vacation

John, Giacomo and I spent the long Memorial Day holiday at the family cottage in Frankfort, Michigan with John's cousins. Unfortunately, it is an 8 hour drive away but Giacomo was great in the car. On Friday, we drove in the evening and he slept a lot of the way. Monday home he needed some entertainment, which would be much easier if I didn't get car sick in the back seat. Anyway, we had a great time despite the crummy weather. The temperature stayed mostly in the 50s and low 60s. It did get up to the 70s on Sunday late afternoon. It was nice to spend some time in the beach in the sun. Here is Giacomo enjoying his new beach toys. The weekend went way too fast ... as most holiday weekends do.
